【内容简介】该书对中国农村家庭养老做了全面的理论分析，包括国内外相关理论及研究评述、家庭养老的作用及未来发展、代际支持对老年人健康状况的影响分析框架及影响机制，并利用第一手调查数据，系统考察了双向代际支持对老年人健康状况的影响及其影响机制，指出了传统家庭养老模式在中国当今以及未来的农村养老保障体系中的重要地位，提出了完善农村家庭养老以及农村养老保障体系的相应政策建议。
